Mark-Paul Gosselaar will reprise his role as fourth-wall-breaking Zack Morris in the Peacock’s new “Saved by the Bell” revival.
The actor tells The Post Gazette that he’s “happy to be a part” of the. “What I’ve read so far, I’m good.”
Gosselaar also confirmed that his former on-screen love interest Tiffani Thiessen (Kelly Kapowski) will return in “some capacity”.
It was announced last year that Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez had signed to reprise A.J and Slater in the reboot, with Josie Totah playing cheerleader and queen bee Lexi.
In the new series, Gosselaar’s Morris is governor and after getting himself into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the highest performing schools in the state – including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the over privileged Bayside kids a much needed and hilarious dose of reality.
The actor currently stars on ABC’s “Mixed-ish”.
