Friends reunion derailed by Coronavirus

Friends reunion derailed by Coronavirus

The unscripted “Friends” reunion special, expected to film this month, has been postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the spesh was due to lens next Monday and Tuesday at the iconic Stage 24 of the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank. Filming has been postponed until at least May, though a concrete date is up in the air of course.

Most, if not all, current productions — scripted, late-night, daytime and syndicated, among others — have been shut down as the world begins to self-quarantine and employ social distancing.

The “Friends’ reunion show, along with the entire library of the hit sitcom, will be available in May on HBO Max when the streamer officially bows.
